Woman Fatally Shot in South City St. Louis; Victim Identified

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Authorities are investigating after a woman was shot and killed early Sunday morning in South City, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.

Officers from the First District responded to reports of gunfire in the 4400 block of Minnesota Avenue at approximately 1:29 a.m. Upon arrival, they found an adult female victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving measures, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Sunday afternoon, officials identified the victim as Esha Boo, though further details about her age and circumstances surrounding the shooting have not yet been released.

The department confirmed that homicide detectives have taken over the case, working to determine what led to the deadly incident. At this stage, no arrests have been made, and police have not disclosed any information regarding a potential suspect or motive.
