Daytona Beach Shores Man Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault of Minor

DAYTONA BEACH SHORES, Fla. — Authorities have arrested 78-year-old Peter Brady after he allegedly used a firearm to coerce a juvenile into performing sexual acts. Officials also believe there may be additional victims connected to his alleged crimes.

According to a news release from the Daytona Beach Shores Department of Public Safety, a search warrant was executed at Brady’s home on September 9. During the search, officers reportedly seized approximately 20 firearms and 50 DVDs and videocassettes.

On September 11, Brady was formally arrested and faces multiple serious charges, including lewd and lascivious acts involving a minor under 18, aggravated assault with a firearm, and false imprisonment. Investigators have indicated that the allegations span decades, with tips suggesting Brady may have solicited minors for sexual activity as far back as the 1990s.

Detectives are urging anyone with additional information or potential victim accounts to come forward. “We are investigating thoroughly and believe there may be other victims,” the department said.

Brady remains in custody pending legal proceedings, and authorities continue to examine evidence gathered during the search. Law enforcement officials emphasized the seriousness of the charges and the ongoing nature of the investigation, aiming to identify any additional victims and ensure justice is served.
