Hanna Community Mourns the Passing of Dorothy “Dot” Webb
Hanna, IN – Dorothy “Dot” Webb, 95, of Hanna, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 3, 1930, in Kingsbury, IN, to the late Clarence and Valetia (Bales) Bluhm, Dot dedicated her life to family, community, and the simple joys of gardening and caring for her home.
On September 4, 1948, in Knox, IN, Dot married Roy Webb, Jr., who preceded her in death in 2010. Dot will be remembered as the cornerstone of the Webb family, a strong and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth and devotion shaped generations.
She is survived by her children Pat (Lenny) Linback of Hanna, Sandy (Rick) Kerr, Rick (Tammi) Webb of Union Mills, and Deb Webb of Hanna; grandchildren Jeff (Jennifer) Miser, Shannon (Aaron) Hawkins, Tom (Connie) Anderson, Tiffany (Travis) Wilkins, Tyler (Shari) Coats, Nicole (Terry) Russo, Randi (Matt) Ames, and Jesse (Leanna) Webb; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Dot was preceded in death by her adopted daughter Janet Backe, brother Gene Bluhm, and great-grandchildren Kayla and Kayden Ames.
A private graveside service will be held at Hanna Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Dot’s name to Dunes Hospice. Wanatah Funeral Chapel is entrusted with arrangements. Dot Webb’s legacy of love, family devotion, and community spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
