25-Year-Old Man Stabbed, Critically Injured During NYC Subway Clash
Queens, NY – A late-night subway ride turned violent when a 25-year-old man was stabbed multiple times during an altercation on a Manhattan-bound 7 train in Corona, police said.
The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. Sunday as the train passed the 111th Street station. According to investigators, the attacker approached the victim from behind and stabbed him once in the neck and twice in the back with an unknown sharp object.
Authorities reported that the two men were strangers but had gotten into a heated verbal dispute shortly before the stabbing. The exact nature of the argument remains under investigation.
Emergency crews rushed the victim to New York Presbyterian/Queens Hospital, where he was initially listed in stable condition. By Monday, however, police described his condition as critical.
The NYPD later released a surveillance image of the suspect, who appeared to be grinning as he stood on the train. He was last seen wearing a black Champion hoodie with the hood pulled up, light-colored pants, and black sneakers.
Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the suspect. Anyone with information is urged to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), or 1-888-57-PISTA (74782) for Spanish speakers.
The violent incident has sparked renewed concern over subway safety, with officials urging vigilance and community cooperation as the investigation continues.
