North Codorus Township, PA — September 17, 2025 — A major law enforcement incident unfolded Wednesday afternoon in York County after multiple police officers were shot during a confrontation near a residence on the 1879 block of Harr Road, Spring Grove.

According to York County 911 records, the first emergency call came in around 2:10 p.m. EDT. Two of the injured were airlifted to trauma centers for urgent care, while additional officers received treatment on the ground.

The incident prompted a massive multi-agency response, including units from the Pennsylvania State Police, York County Sheriff’s Office, municipal departments, and EMS providers. Multiple medevac helicopters were dispatched to transport the wounded.

Authorities have urged residents to shelter in place and avoid the area while emergency personnel work. As a precaution, WellSpan York Hospital and the Spring Grove School District temporarily went into lockdown; officials later confirmed that no schools were directly threatened.
