Autopsy Finds Suicide, No Signs of Physical Assault in Trey Reed’s Death
The Mississippi State Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed that De’Martravion “Trey” Reed’s cause of death was hanging, and the manner of death has been ruled a suicide.
Preliminary findings also indicate there were no lacerations, contusions, compound fractures, broken bones, or other injuries consistent with an assault.
Final toxicology results are still pending, and may take two to four weeks to complete.
Authorities have said the investigation remains active. All files and investigative materials have been turned over to the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for review.
