Condolences Pour in Following the Death of Dorian Johnson

Johnson was with Michael Brown Jr. on August 9, 2014, when Brown was fatally shot by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, a moment that sparked protests and conversations about racial justice across the country.
On Sunday morning, September 7, 2025, the Ferguson Police Department confirmed officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 9000 block of Abaco Drive at approximately 8:30 a.m. Upon arrival, authorities located an adult Black male suffering from gunshot wounds. Tragically, the victim later died from his injuries. The individual was later identified by multiple sources close to the family as Dorian Johnson.
Police have stated that one person is currently in custody in connection with the incident. The investigation remains ongoing, and officials have encouraged anyone with additional information to reach out to Ferguson detectives at 314-522-3100.
