OREM, Utah — A suspect is in custody after conservative activist Charlie Kirk was shot during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, according to school officials.
University spokespersons confirmed that shots were fired from a building roughly 200 yards away from where Kirk was addressing students as part of his American Comeback Tour. Emergency responders quickly attended to him before he was transported for medical care. His exact condition has not been released.
