Meredith A. Arico, 86, of East Providence, Remembered for a Life of Faith, Music, and Family

Meredith A. Arico, 86, of East Providence, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel J. Arico.

Born in Providence, RI, Meredith was raised in Riverside by her maternal grandparents after the early passing of her mother. A 1956 graduate of East Providence High School, she married Daniel in 1958 and together they raised four children in Seekonk, MA.

Meredith worked in offices but found her passion in music and entertaining. She founded “The Merry Maker,” a balloon and singing-telegram service, and performed locally with her duet “Mad and Merry,” bringing joy to senior centers, churches, and community events.

A devoted Catholic and volunteer, she and Daniel dedicated time to fundraising and church activities. She leaves behind her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and sister Nancy Peace. Calling hours and a Mass of Christian Burial are planned for September 19–20.
