Remembering Taylor Blizard: A Life Full of Love, Laughter, and Adventure
The Prairie du Chien community is mourning the loss of Taylor Blizard, who passed away on September 14, 2025, at the age of 31. Born on May 19, 1994, to David and Sherrie Blizard in Monroe, Wisconsin, Taylor lived a life defined by love, adventure, and devotion to his family.
Taylor graduated from Prairie du Chien High School and built a career at Design Homes, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. Yet, his greatest pride and joy came from being a father. Taylor was an active and loving parent to his children, Benson and Ivy Blizard, and cherished his blended family, including Brianna Blizard and stepson Parker Bailey.
A man of many talents and passions, Taylor enjoyed hunting, fishing, motocross, woodworking, camping, hiking, and spending time in his shop working on motorcycles. Known for his quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and a fiery temper that never lingered, Taylor brought laughter and energy wherever he went.
Taylor is survived by his parents, siblings, grandparents, and his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will carry forward his memory. He joins in Heaven his maternal and paternal grandparents, great-grandmother Ada Sherrick, and cousin Andrea Bockenstedt.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may visit from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
