Manson Man Arrested After Series of Wenatchee Valley Bank Robberies

WENATCHEE VALLEY, WA – A Manson man, 42-year-old Cameron Gaunt, has been arrested in connection with two recent bank robberies in the Wenatchee Valley and is facing a U.S. Marshals warrant for a third.

The first incident occurred just before 5 p.m. on Friday at Cashmere Valley Bank on Maple Street. Gaunt allegedly robbed the bank but initially escaped before police could apprehend him. On Tuesday at approximately 11:30 a.m., East Wenatchee Police responded to a panic alarm at People’s Bank on Valley Mall Parkway. Bank employees identified Gaunt from photos circulated following Friday’s robbery.

Authorities established a perimeter around the bank. When Gaunt exited wearing a white dress shirt, tie, and slacks, officers confirmed his identity. Gaunt attempted to evade capture but surrendered after spotting multiple officers, and he was taken into custody without incident.

Hanna, IN – Dorothy “Dot” Webb, 95, of Hanna, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 3, 1930, in Kingsbury, IN, to the late Clarence and Valetia (Bales) Bluhm, Dot dedicated her life to family, community, and the simple joys of gardening and caring for her home.

On September 4, 1948, in Knox, IN, Dot married Roy Webb, Jr., who preceded her in death in 2010. Dot will be remembered as the cornerstone of the Webb family, a strong and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth and devotion shaped generations.

She is survived by her children Pat (Lenny) Linback of Hanna, Sandy (Rick) Kerr, Rick (Tammi) Webb of Union Mills, and Deb Webb of Hanna; grandchildren Jeff (Jennifer) Miser, Shannon (Aaron) Hawkins, Tom (Connie) Anderson, Tiffany (Travis) Wilkins, Tyler (Shari) Coats, Nicole (Terry) Russo, Randi (Matt) Ames, and Jesse (Leanna) Webb; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Dot was preceded in death by her adopted daughter Janet Backe, brother Gene Bluhm, and great-grandchildren Kayla and Kayden Ames.

A private graveside service will be held at Hanna Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Dot’s name to Dunes Hospice. Wanatah Funeral Chapel is entrusted with arrangements. Dot Webb’s legacy of love, family devotion, and community spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Remembering Thomas William Burgess Jr., Beloved Entrepreneur and Family Man

Thomas William Burgess Jr., 76, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on October 18, 1948, in Lowell, Massachusetts, Tom was the beloved son of the late Thomas W. Burgess and Theresa (Zilonis) Burgess and an 11th-generation descendant of Thomas Burgess, an early Plymouth Colony settler.

Raised in Dracut, MA, Tom spent his youth working on the family farm and enjoying summer jobs at Edie’s Orchard and The Kenwood Ski Tow, where his love of alpine skiing began. A graduate of Dracut High School, Class of 1966, he led a life full of adventure and enterprise. In the 1970s, Tom managed the Boston Bruins Pro Shop, later establishing Burgess Bargains in New Hampshire, and eventually pursuing ventures in Florida and Vermont, including ski operations and antiques.

Tom was devoted to his partner of 24 years, Suzan Bennison, his children Thomas III, Bethany, and Jeremy, stepchildren Kevin and Alicia, and nine grandchildren who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his siblings, extended family, and countless friends.

Tom’s life was defined by his warmth, humor, and generosity. From early memories on the family farm to beach walks and family gatherings later in life, Tom created lasting joy and connection wherever he went.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Tom’s spirit, big heart, and infectious joy will be remembered by all who knew him.
