West Allis Woman Charged in Crash That Killed Two Marquette Students

MILWAUKEE — A West Allis woman is facing serious charges after a devastating crash that claimed the lives of two Marquette University students on Friday, September 5, near 27th Street and St. Paul Avenue.

Court records show 41-year-old Amandria Brunner has been charged with two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle. She appeared in court Wednesday, where her bond was set at $75,000.

The victims, Scott Michaud and Noah Snyder, were both members of Marquette’s lacrosse team. They were seated in the back of a Jeep involved in the collision and tragically died at the scene from blunt force injuries. Four others, including teammates, were injured but are expected to recover.

According to a criminal complaint, Brunner accelerated into the intersection after waiting in the left turn lane. Data later revealed she did not brake before impact. Investigators said her blood alcohol content was 0.133, well above the legal limit. An open can of beer and marijuana paraphernalia were also found in her vehicle.

Brunner has a prior conviction for operating while intoxicated from 2003.

“This is an extremely tragic case,” said Court Commissioner Andrea Bolender, stressing that a moment’s delay could have prevented the crash.

According to authorities, deputies were called to the 45000 block of Spearman Avenue around 9:40 a.m. on September 9, 2025. When they arrived, they discovered an adult female victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Newly released images recovered from the phone of convicted Idaho student killer Bryan Kohberger reveal a disturbing glimpse into his private world.

The selfies, first published by NewsNation, show the 30-year-old posing shirtless inside his Washington State University apartment in Pullman, Washington. In one, Kohberger salutes the camera with headphones around his neck, standing in front of a closet lined with blue shirts. A cut is visible on his knuckle.

In another, he grins at the camera, baring discolored teeth in a distorted expression. A third shows him flexing and pursing his lips, striking a pose reminiscent of a fitness model.

Forensic specialists from the digital firm Cellebrite described the images as “narcissistic” and unsettling. Heather Barnhart, senior director of forensics research, compared the collection to scenes from American Psycho. “It was like he admired his body,” she told Fox News Digital. Her husband, Jared Barnhart, added: “He takes his shirt off, flexes, takes a picture of himself, and then just goes back to whatever he was doing before. Nonsense.”

Investigators confirmed that Kohberger did not appear to share the images with anyone, raising further questions about his state of mind. Many were taken at odd angles, some highlighting his profile or back.

The photos were recovered after Kohberger’s arrest on December 30, 2022, at his parents’ home in Albrightsville, Pennsylvania. Digital forensics experts also combed through his search history, contacts, and other data to help strengthen the case against him.

OREM, Utah — Newly released drone footage is shedding light on the crime scene at Utah Valley University (UVU), where conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was fatally shot during a student-sponsored event on Wednesday. The aerial imagery provides a sweeping view of the area, highlighting critical details of the attack.

The footage pinpoints the exact location of Kirk’s speaking tent in UVU’s outdoor quad and the suspected shooter’s vantage point on the rooftop of the university’s Losee Center. Evidence markers and crime scene tape are visible on the roof, which investigators believe to be the firing position. Authorities said a single round was discharged from this elevated spot at approximately 12:20 p.m. MST, striking Kirk mid-speech before thousands of attendees.

One Man Dead, Another Detained After Fatal Shooting in Birmingham’s Elyton Village

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Birmingham police are investigating a fatal domestic-related shooting inside an apartment at the Elyton Village public housing community. The incident occurred late Tuesday night, September 9, 2025, and has been confirmed as the city’s 58th homicide of the year.

According to Birmingham Police Department spokesperson Officer De’Rell Freeman, North Precinct officers responded at approximately 11:50 p.m. to reports of a break-in at an apartment on Fourth Court West, just off Center Street. When officers arrived, they found 33-year-old Tedarius Montez Seawright suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said Seawright, the ex-boyfriend of the woman living at the apartment, forced entry into the home. Once inside, he became involved in a confrontation with her current boyfriend, who also lived at the residence. During the altercation, gunfire erupted, fatally striking Seawright.

The shooter remained on the scene and was detained by responding officers for questioning at police headquarters. Authorities have not yet announced whether charges will be filed as the investigation remains ongoing.

Police noted that in all of Jefferson County there have been 89 homicides so far in 2025, with 58 occurring within Birmingham city limits. Community leaders and residents continue to voice concern over domestic violence and escalating gun incidents across the region.

Warrant Issued for Hillsboro Man in Fatal Highway 31 Crash

On September 10, 2025, Hartselle Police announced a murder warrant for 40-year-old Archie Hale of Hillsboro in connection with a deadly crash on September 6. Investigators said Hale was driving at a very high speed westbound on Highway 36 when he ran a red light at Highway 31 and struck another vehicle traveling north. A juvenile passenger in that vehicle was killed.

Police said Hale’s reckless driving showed “extreme indifference to human life.” He remains hospitalized with serious injuries under police watch and will be held without bond once released.

In addition to murder, Hale faces charges from Priceville Police including Attempting to Elude, DUI, Reckless Endangerment, Possession with Intent, and other moving violations totaling $296,000 in bonds.

Officials met with the victim’s family to assure them the investigation is ongoing and that additional charges may follow as injuries are fully documented.

17-Year-Old Tampa Teen Dies After Electric Dirt Bike Crash in Spring Hill

A 17-year-old boy from Tampa has died after a crash involving an electric dirt bike in Spring Hill on Tuesday afternoon. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the teen was riding a Talaria electric dirt bike northbound on Barclay Avenue around 3:27 p.m. when he failed to stop in time and collided with the back of a GMC Acadia stopped in traffic near Suncoast Villa Way.

Emergency crews responded quickly and transported the teen to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts, he tragically passed away from his injuries on Wednesday, September 10.

Authorities said the driver of the GMC, a 56-year-old woman from Spring Hill, was unharmed in the crash.

The FHP continues to investigate the incident. Officials are urging drivers and riders to use extra caution on busy roads and to always observe traffic signals to prevent such tragedies.
